Where is the distillery located, and is it easy to access ?

Nous sommes situés à Val-Alain, dans la région de Lotbinière, au Québec, à quelques minutes seulement de l’autoroute 20. Facile d’accès, la distillerie est l’endroit parfait pour un arrêt spontané ou une sortie planifiée.Le stationnement est grand et accessible, ce qui en fait un arrêt idéal pour les gens en moto ou en VR.Sur place, vous pourrez profiter du site à votre rythme, que ce soit pour une dégustation, un moment en terrasse ou simplement pour relaxer en pleine nature.

Yes, you can enjoy food on site during your visit. You can treat yourself to our charcuterie and cheese boards prepared fresh, or simply bring your own picnic and enjoy the outdoor spaces at your own pace.

What types of products do you offer ?

We produce a range of alcoholic beverages inspired by our terroir, including:

gin

maple eau-de-vie (acerum)

All our products are made using local ingredients grown directly on our land.

What is acerum ?

Acerum is a maple eau-de-vie made by fermenting and distilling maple syrup. It is a unique Quebec product with a flavour profile that can be reminiscent of certain spirits like whisky, while maintaining a distinctive character linked to maple.

Acerum is now a regulated designation. However, we have chosen not to use this designation, as our production approach differs from some of the required criteria.

We continue to produce this type of spirit, which we present as maple eau-de-vie, including products such as our Gold Royal.

Can your products be purchased online ?

Yes, some of our products are available online.

However, due to regulations, spirits must be picked up directly at the distillery.

Do you offer tastings ?

Yes ! Tastings are an essential part of the experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover our products and learn more about their story and how they are made. In general, around a dozen products are available for tasting at La Vallée Bleue Distillery, each with its own unique and distinctive character.

What can you do on site ?

Depending on the season, you can:

Are your products made on site ?

Yes. Our products are entirely made on site, using our own raw materials.

Our maple water comes from our sugar bush, our blueberries from our fields, and every step of the process is carried out right here.

👉 At La Vallée Bleue, everything truly starts from field to bottle.

We are also the only distillery in Quebec producing a 100% Quebec-made maple cream liqueur. The cream comes from Laiterie Chagnon, and we produce the maple eau-de-vie used in its composition ourselves. It is aged in oak barrels, giving it a slightly toasted character that pairs perfectly with our maple sugar produced on site.

Is this a family-friendly activity ?

Yes, absolutely. It’s an ideal spot for a family outing in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, in Lotbinière, just a short drive from Quebec City.

On site, you can enjoy the outdoor spaces, the terrace, the small farm and a play area for children. You can also bring your own lunch or enjoy our freshly prepared charcuterie and cheese boards.

Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times. Outside alcohol is not permitted.

Are dogs allowed on site ?

Yes, dogs are welcome on site! They are allowed everywhere except in the fields.

👉 They must be kept on a leash at all times, and we kindly ask that you clean up after them.

Do you offer blueberry picking ?

Yes ! Blueberry picking is available during the season, usually starting in early July (depending on the weather) and continuing until late August or early September. Baskets are provided on site in 2 L and 4 L formats.

👉 Each day, a limited number of pre-picked baskets are also available in the shop.

Can events be held on site ?

Yes, a variety of events can be held on site, including weddings and private celebrations.
